Purpose of the Spell:
To disrupt the energy flow and bring a specific situation or negative cycle to a halt.
Materials:
- Lime
- Black salt
- Poppy seeds
- Poppy pods
- Calamus root
- Bay Leaf
- Clear Quartz Crystal
- Pen
- Plate or tray
- Black String
Preparation:
- Find a quiet space where you can perform the spell without interruptions.
- Set up your plate with the lime and create a protective circle for the spell.
- Add a ring of black salt for cleansing and protection
- Add a ring of calamus root for control and domination
- Add a ring of poppy seeds to disrupt the energy of the habit and to bring it to a halt.
- Place four poppy seed pods in each of the cardinal directions around the circle.
Writing Your Intention:
- On a bay leaf, write down the bad habit you are wanting to rid yourself of. It can be a simple word, like “gambling” or “drinking” or a short statement.
- Infuse your energy and intention into the bay leaf. You can hold the bay leaf in your hand and speak aloud your statement to end the habit. Imagine the energy flow being disrupted and the negative cycle ceasing.
Preparing the Lime:
- Take the lime and use the point of the clear quartz crystal to pierce a hole in it.
- Place the bay leaf with your intention into the hole of the lime.
- Next add a poppy seed pod into the hole, crushing it, as you visualize “crushing” the bad habit.
- Sprinkle the poppy seeds and the calamus root into the hole.
- As you hold the lime, visualize the herbs absorbing your intention and becoming charged with the power to control, disrupt and halt the bad habit.
Binding the Spell:
- Plug the hole of the lime with the clear quartz crystal.
- Then, take the black string and wrap it around the lime, binding it securely and symbolizing the binding of the negative energy.
- As you hold the bound lime in your hands, say the following incantation (or one of your choosing): “Energy stilled, no more shall it be, As I will it, so mote it be.”
Burying the Lime:
- Find a suitable place outside to bury the lime. Preferably in a location away from you.
- Dig a small hole and place the bound lime inside. As you bury it, visualize the energy of the spell sinking into the earth, halting the negative cycle and disrupting the unwanted energy flow.
- Cover it with soil and speak the following words to seal the spell: “Earth below, take this plea, Halt the flow, set me free. Negative cycles, end and cease, With this spell, bring me peace.”
Final Thoughts:
- Once the lime is buried, take a moment to ground yourself. Sit or stand quietly, feeling the connection between you and the earth.
- The clear quartz crystal acts as an offering to the earth, but you can always leave other offerings too. The poppy seeds will soon sprout into beautiful flowers.
