So, you’ve gone for a love reading with the question, “Does (insert name here) love me?”, but you’re told by the tarot reader they won’t do your reading. What do you do?
This is a common question for tarot readers, and understandably so. Many people don’t feel comfortable asking their crush out without getting the go ahead beforehand from someone who knows how the other person feels, and what better person to ask than a tarot reader, right?
Well, maybe not. Let me explain…
Tarot Reading and Ethics
First, let’s start by defining what a third party question is. Most tarot readers would define a third party question as a question asking what a third person thinks about the client you’re reading for. For instance, say I went in to get a tarot reading and asked if my husband was cheating on me and how he currently felt about our relationship. While some readers would be happy to take that question on, others will not. Why? Because you’re reading into how a third person thinks and feels without getting their permission first. Not everyone is comfortable doing that, as they feel it is invasive and not in the best interest of the client anyway.
Some readers will turn the client down and possibly refer them to someone else, while others may explain to the client why they feel it is wrong while offering up some alternative questions. It is important to not only decide where you stand on these types of questions if you yourself are a reader, but also to respect the boundaries of a reader if you are the client.
If you don’t like the alternative questions the reader suggests, it is perfectly acceptable and in the best interest of both of you to politely decline and move on. Search long enough and you’ll eventually find someone who is comfortable with these types of questions if you really feel like alternative questions aren’t what you need.
Tarot Questions For Love Readings
Question: Is my partner cheating?
- What, if anything, can I do to create a more trusting relationship with my partner?
- What is my relationship with my partner trying to teach me right now?
- What is my best course of action in our relationship at this time?
- How can I improve the communication in my relationship?
- What signs should I look for to know if it’s time to move on from the relationship?
Question: Does (insert name) love me?
- What role am I playing in this persons life right now?
- What is my best course of action moving forward in our relationship?
- How will I know if this person really likes me? What signs should I look for?
As you can see, just rewording these questions to center around the client (or you if you’re the client) still gives amazing insight without being considered intrusive. There are some amazing and powerful alternative questions that will still empower and give great information to help the person move forward.
When is the right time to get a love reading?
Absolutely any time! As long as you’re ready for the possible answers you may get. There’s no need to wait until a relationship is in trouble to get a love reading. Or if you’re single, even until you have someone you’re interested in. A single person can still get a love reading asking what you can do to manifest your perfect soulmate. A person in a happy and committed relationship can still get a love reading asking how to spice up their love life, or how they can grow closer with their partner.
Love readings don’t have to be reserved for when you think there may be a problem. Although unfortunately, that seems to be the most frequent time people ask. I personally love using tarot to strengthen a relationship and think it’s a great idea to get them regularly.
Tarot to Strengthen a Current Relationship
What if you’re already in a happy, healthy, and committed relationship? You may be wondering, how can you use tarot? First, I’m going to preface this with a warning. You may not want to do this type of reading, if you aren’t ready for honest answers.
Couples Tarot Exercise
Sit down facing your partner and grab your favorite tarot deck. First, decide who is going to start. Whoever is going first will want to shuffle the deck, however you prefer shuffling. Now when the deck is ready, ask the following questions:
- How can I support you better in our daily lives?
- What do you wish I acknowledged more often?
- What is something I do that annoys you?
- How can I love you better?
- What is something I do that you love?
- What made you fall in love with me?
- How can we spice up our love life?
Grab a piece of paper and add extra questions if you’d like. Now with each card you pull, first ask your partner how they would interpret that card, then once they’re done add your own input and talk about each card together. Once done, switch and allow the other partner to do the same.
